August 12, 2010 Founding member of Little Feat, drummer Richie Hayward died earlier today as a result of complications due to liver cancer. We were all on Warner Brothers Records together in the '70's and were on the famous Warner Brothers Traveling Music Show all over Europe with Tower, Feat, Doobies, Graham Central Station, Montrose and Bonaroo. Playing on stage with Richie, behind Little Feat, was truly one of the musical high points in my career. our deepest condolences to his family, his friends, and the many fans that loved him." David Garibaldi, Rocco Prestia, Roger Smith, and Jerry Cortez are participating in a benefit for Richie Haward taking place Friday, 8/13.
