Drink soda, lose weight? « Don Surber

Don, So obesity rates skyrocketed again last year, and one of the solutions (according to this Bloomberg article) is higher taxes: "Placing a tax on soda or certain fruit drinks, as has been proposed in New York State, might be one approach." Yes, that'll work. Oops… except for this: "Sales of carbonated soft drinks in the U.S. fell for the fifth year in a row last year." So soda sales keep declining. Yet taxing soda is going to fight obesity?
